Curtis and Jalea share a lifelong passion for fitness and a dedication to helping others achieve their goals. Jalea, a collegiate 800m runner with a degree in Exercise Science, found her passion for coaching through strength training. Curtis, a five-time Illinois State Champion in pole vault and hurdles, brought valuable business experience from expanding his father’s fitness franchise. Together, they founded The Lifting Studio to provide the expert coaching, personalized programming, and supportive community that feels like family.

Up to 6 clients per session, each following a fully customized strength training program. You’ll train alongside a supportive community of like-minded people who motivate and support each other. Includes regular accountability check-ins to keep you consistent and progressing—because getting stronger is better together.
Our assessment includes a full range of motion analysis to identify your strengths, weaknesses, and any movement limitations. This allows us to design a personalized program built specifically for you to maximize performance, improve mobility, and reduce the risk of injury.
Personalized nutrition coaching through our in-house app, complete with custom macro targets tailored to your goals. We help you build sustainable habits, improve energy, and align your nutrition with your training—so you can look, feel, and perform your best.
